Perjalanan Karir Film Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum sudah merasakan asam garam kehidupan. Jauh sebelum menjadi bintang "White House Down", Channing Tatum pernah menjadi seorang penari erotis serta menekuni dunia model.

“Coach Carter” (2005)

Setelah muncul di satu episode "CSI: Miami", Channing Tatum bermain dalam film tentang basket SMA “Coach Carter". Dirinya memerankan Jason Lyle.

“She’s the Man” (2006)

Channing Tatum juga pernah bermain sepak bola bersama Amanda Bynes. Dia memerankan tokoh bernama Duke dalam film komedi “She’s the Man".

“Step Up” (2006)
Step Up

“Public Enemies” (2009)

Setelah “Step Up", ChanningTatum menjadi cameo dalam sebuah film laga garapan sutradara Michael Mann.

“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” (2009)

Ingin semakin membuktikan bahwa dirinya lebih dari sekadar penari “Step Up”, Channing Tatum mengambil pertan di film karya Stephen Sommers “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra".

“Dear John” (2010)
Dear John
Setelah memerankan film laga “G.I. “Dear John” berhasil menempati posisi pertama box office sebelum dikalahkan “Avatar".

“Haywire” (2011)
Haywire
The first of several successful collaborations between Tatum and filmmaker Steven Soderbergh (“Ocean’s Eleven,” “Behind the Candelabra”), “Haywire” features the actor in a small but key role as spy for hire Aaron. Tatum’s character, along with just about every other man in Soderbergh’s star-studded actioner, learns the hard way that you do not double cross super spy Mallory Kane (Gina Carano).

"The Vow" (2011)
The Vow
In one scene, McAdams and Tatum get down to their skivvies and go skinny dipping in a frigid lake. The scene was filmed at night during the late autumn in Toronto, so everyone was expecting it to be cold and miserable. But when the stars took the plunge beneath the stars, they found the water to be delightful. The "bathwater" was so nice, they didn't want to get out. They even watched the sun come up. McAdams couldn't believe their luck: "It's never like that when you have to do a water scene. It's normally like torture and you say 'I'm never making another movie ever again.'"

“21 Jump Street” (2012)

By this point in his career, Tatum had proved that he could handle movie genres as diverse as action, dance, romance, and sports --but he had yet to try his hand at a full-blown comedy. “21 Jump Street,” an action-packed remake of the '80s TV series, let Tatum flex his comedy muscles for the first time opposite funny man Jonah Hill. The results were, thankfully, hilarious. Tatum and Hill play a pair of young police officers who go undercover at a high school in order to bust up a drug ring.

“Magic Mike” (2012)
Magic Mike
Loosely based on Tatum’s actual career as a male stripper, Steven Soderbergh’s “Magic Mike” put the actor in the title role of a veteran dancer Mike Lane. Mike is desperate to get out of the stripping game and start his own business, but finds himself caught up in showing the new guy (Alex Pettyfer) the ropes. A passion project for Tatum, the actor/producer originally wanted “Drive” filmmaker Nicholas Winding Refn to direct “Magic Mike,” but ended up pitching the idea to Soderbergh while working on “Haywire.” Tatum is currently developing a "Magic Mike" sequel, which he may direct himself.

“White House Down” (2013)
White House Down
In this Roland Emmerich-directed mashup of movies like “Lethal Weapon,” “Die Hard, and “Air Force One,” it's up to Tatum's character to save the free world. As aspiring Secret Service agent John Cale, Tatum is charged with rescuing the President of the United States (Jamie Foxx) after an extremist group takes over the White House.
